Chaos from the coronavirus has clarified that Digitization of the supply chain is becoming less of a dream and more of a necessity for companies to remain viable and competitive.
The National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE), Mumbai, a leading institute for Management Studies, has launched the Global Online Certification Course on ‘End-to-End Supply Chain Transformation through Digitization’ in collaboration with Prof. David Simchi-Levi from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA. This course is launched under NITIE’s Centre of Excellence in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Inaugurated by Shri Piyush Goyal (Minister of Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs & Food & Public Distribution and Textiles, Government of India), this centre will act as a driving force to train and launch top quality programs to disseminate advanced knowledge and promote Digitization, Analytics, and IoT Application.
It is a 20-hour weekend-only course, designed exclusively for, Industry professionals and supply chain enthusiasts to help them create value for businesses by aligning their business goals with their supply chain. This course introduces Professor Simchi-Levi’s unique framework that incorporates the three technological trends, Digitization, Analytics, and Automation, to reinvent the supply chain and integrate them with the “Laws of Physics.”
Participants will gain a profound understanding of the applications of the critical supply chain trends to improve efficiency, profitability, and growth, and insights into the required processes to improve supply chain visibility, flexibility, and resiliency. Participants will also get the opportunity to interact live with Prof. David Simchi Levi, one year of exclusive digital access for course participants to the latest edition of the reference book “Designing and Managing the Supply Chain: Concepts, Strategies, and Case Studies” by Prof. David Simchi-Levi, and the exposure to the recent happenings in various industries through exhaustive case studies.
