India’s first battery swappable Bounce Electric Scooter to be launched on 02 December: Bookings open
The Bounce Infinity will be a first-of-its-kind offering in the electric scooter space, which will be available with the option of purchasing it without the battery. As an alternative to this, the buyers of this scooter can use the company’s battery swapping network which has been set up all across the nation. Instead of having the battery underneath the scooter, the Bounce Infinity can be equipped with swappable batteries at these touchpoints, where the owners of the scooter can exchange an empty battery with a fully charged one by paying a fixed amount.
Apart from this innovative use-and-pay method, the Bounce Infinity electric scooter will be offered with a removable battery, which can be charged at the owner’s residence. The specifications of the battery, electric motor and chassis of the Bounce Infinity are expected to be revealed on 02 December.

The production of the Bounce Infinity will take place in its manufacturing facility in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, which belonged to 22Motors, in which Bounce Electric has acquired a 100 per cent stake. This manufacturing plant has a production capacity of 180,000 units. Once launched, the Bounce Infinity will take on the many new electric scooters on sale like Ola S1, Simple One, Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube and Ather 450X.
If you’re interested in the scooter, you can book it for Rs 499. The deliveries will begin early next year in India.
The electric scooter segment in India is increasing in size with new start-ups entering the market. The segment is already populated by vehicles from the brands like Ather, Ampere, Pure, and more. Manufacturers like Ola will also bring electric vehicles to the segment in the coming months. In fact, Ola accepted thousands of bookings for its scooters and is currently deferring the deliveries citing various problems.
Bajaj Auto chief Rajiv Bajaj has already commented on the increasing number of start-up electric vehicle makers in India. However, with more manufacturers entering the business, the prices are most likely to become much more competitive and the customers are likely to get the benefits in form of reduced prices.
