Realme has launched its much-awaited Realme 9 Pro series smartphones- Realme 9 Pro and Realme 9 Pro+ in India today. The Realme 9 Pro series is worth the hype for its value for money tag in the mid-range category. The starting price of the Realme 9 Pro is Rs 17,999 while the elder sibling Realme 9 Pro+ is priced at Rs 24,999.
The smartphones will go on sale on February 23, on Flipkart, Realme.com and offline stores.
In terms of display, the Realme 9 Pro gets an LCD display of 6.6-inches with a 120Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, Realme 9 Pro+ gets a AMOLED display of 6.43-inches along with refresh rate of 90Hz. Realme 9 Pro is powered by a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC, with up to 8 GB RAM and storage of 128 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. On the other hand, Realme 9 Pro+ is powered by a Dimensity 920 SoC, with up to 6/8 GB RAM and storage of 128/ 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
When it comes to camera, both the smartphones get triple camera setup at the rear. On the Realme 9 Pro the setup includes a 64 MP triple camera setup at the rear and a 16 MP selfie camera at the front. The 64 MP primary camera is accompanied by 8MP ultra wide lens and 2 MP macro sensor. Realme 9 Pro+ smartphone gets a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor along with 8MP ultra wide lens and 2 MP macro sensor. The selfie camera has a 16MP sensor.
Both the devices run Android 12-based Realme UI 3.0 out of the box. Users can purchase the Realme 9 Pro with three colour options- Blue, Green and Black colour options. On the other hand, Realme 9 Pro+ is offered in three colour variants- Sunrise Blue, Aurora Green, or Midnight Black.
In terms of battery, the Realme 9 Pro+ gets a 4500mAh battery along with a 60W SuperDart charging. The company claims that the device will achieve full charge in just 45 minutes. However, the Realme 9 Pro gets a bigger 5000mAh battery with a 33W charger in the box.
Speaking about price of the device, the Realme 9 Pro costs Rs 17,999 for 6GB+128GB variant while the 8GB + 128GB variant costs Rs 20,999. On the other hand the Realme 9 Pro+ costs Rs 24,999 for 6GB+128GB variant, Rs 26,999 for 8GB + 128GB variant and Rs 28,999 for the top spec 8GB + 256GB variant.
