Men's Tennis Edged By No. 32 Notre Dame, 4-3 – Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets – Georgia Tech

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – No. 44-ranked Georgia Tech men’s tennis dropped a narrow 4-3 decision at No. 32 Notre Dame in the Atlantic Coast Conference opener for both teams on Friday evening in Notre Dame, Ind.
The Yellow Jackets (5-5, 0-1 ACC) split six singles matches with the Fighting Irish (9-5, 1-0 ACC), but Notre Dame’s 2-0 victory in doubles proved to be the difference in Tech’s third one-point loss in five defeats this season.
Georgia Tech got wins at No. 2 (Marcus McDaniel def. Aditya Vashistha, 4-6, 7-6, 7-6 (3)), No. 5 (Brandon McKinley def. Peter Conklin, 6-3, 3-6, 6-2) and No. 6 (Pablo Schelcher def. Jean-Marc Malkowski, 6-3, 6-1) singles, but fell in No. 1, 3 and 4 singles in the loss.
The White and Gold resume ACC action on Sunday when it travels to No. 45 Louisville for a 10 a.m. match.
