Jamshedpur: E-bike service launched at Tatanagar Railway Station – Avenue Mail

Jamshedpur, June 5: Tatanagar Rail management and Jamshedpur On Wheel jointly launched e-bike service for rail passengers on the occasion of World Environment Day here on Sunday. Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (DCM) of Chakradharpur Rail Division Manish Pathak, Area Manager Vinod Kumar and several women passengers jointly cut the inaugural ribbon on this occasion. The Divisional Rail Manager (DRM) of Chakradharpur Rail Division Vijay Kumar Sahu also witnessed the event online.
Speaking on the occasion, the Senior DCM said the railway passengers would get e-bike facility on the lines of metro cities. Tatanagar is the first railway station of Jharkhand where e-bike service has been started, he said.
Rahul Singh, manager of e-bike service, said, “The passengers would get e-bikes on per hour basis in a systematic manner. They will have to show Aadhaar Card, driving licence and reservation ticket to avail the facility. At present, only 10 e-bikes are available. But very soon, there would be a lot of 40 e-bikes available here.”
Jamshedpur On Wheel will also drop passengers to their homes from railway station on demand, sources said.
Station Manager OP Sharma, CCI JK Rai, CCI Line Santosh Kumar and Sunil Kumar were present during the programe.
