We could be less than a month away from a possible Apple iPhone 14 launch event…
Apple has a tradition of introducing its latest iPhone lineup in September every year, usually on the first or second Tuesday of September. This year, however, the company could launch its iPhone 14 series a bit earlier than anticipated. Given that Apple is facing an issue from China blocking Apple’s chipmaker TSMC and Taiwanese assembler Pegatron shipments, it would be a surprise to see an early launch of the latest iPhone lineup.
But since Apple could – for the first time – start iPhone 14 production in India and China simultaneously, the chances of witnessing an early launch event can also not be ruled out. Previously, the iPhone 14 series expected launch date was September 13th, but according to leaker Max Weinbach, that won’t be the case.
Apple gets its iPhone chips manufactured from TSMC and then sends them to Pegatron in China, where iPhones are assembled. The recent visit of US House of Representatives speaker Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan has sparked political tensions between the US and China. As a result, the Chinese Communist Party deployed new regulations: prohibit any mention of “Taiwan” or “The Republic of China” in shipping documents. This could result in a delay in iPhone 14 production.

However, tipster Max Weinbach on Twitter stated that Apple could announce the iPhone 14 series on September 6th, the second Tuesday of September, and the sales will start on September 16th without delay. Last year, Apple announced the iPhone 13 series on September 14th, the second Tuesday of September. Pre-orders started on September 17th, and sales began on September 24th. There was a ten days’ gap between the launch event and the sale date last year, and the tip suggests the same will happen this year.
This year’s Apple eve won’t be a live event, and possibly Apple has already started recording it.

The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max are said to get a souped-up version of the iPhone 13 Pro Max’s A15 chip, while the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will feature the latest A16 chip. Word on the internet is iPhone 14 price might start at the same price as iPhone 13.
