Ducati India has announced the launch of the Streetfighter V2 at an ex-showroom (pan India) prices tag of Rs 17.25 lakh. The motorcycle is available in a single variant and one paint option – Ducati Red.
This new rival to the Triumph Street Triple series draws styling cues from the Streetfighter V4. Thus, the motorcycle gets V-shaped LED DRL that is inspired by the famous grin of the Joker, muscular fuel tank, silver-coloured radiator shrouds, a sporty engine cowl, a step-up saddle, a single-sided swingarm, and an underbelly exhaust setup.
The feature list comprises full-LED lighting and a 4.3-inch full-TFT dashboard. The electronic package, which works with a six-axis IMU inertial platform, comprises three riding modes (Sport, Road, and Wet), power modes, cornering ABS with slide-by-brake function, traction control system, wheelie control, a bi-directional quickshifter, and engine brake control.
The new Streetfighter V2 is powered by a 955cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 150.9bhp at 10,750rpm and a peak torque output of 101.4Nm at 9,000rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox. The service intervals are 12,000km/12 months long while the valve clearance check interval stands at 24,000km. The motorcycle tips the weighing scale at 178kg (dry). The hardware includes 43mm Showa BPF front forks and Sachs rear mono-shock to handle the suspension tasks.
This new offering from Ducati India will rival the likes of Triumph Street Twin, Kawasaki Z900, and the BMW F 900 R in our market.
